Coach's Comments

I knew Daniel was going to go to another level as a junior golfer when he started showing up for practice at the gym in the dead of winter in 2009. There is nothing particularly flashy about Daniel's game to this day, but he has started to build up quite a resume. He really emerged in 2010 when he swept the junior programs at Lakeview: won the Lakeview Junior Tour points, won the Junior Club Championship, and won the 2009-2010 TPS Championship. The 2010 season was also his freshman year at Spotswood, so I knew we were about to see an excellent high school career. He finished tied for 8th in the District in scoring that year, and then moved up to the third spot his sophomore year, helping lead his team to the State tournament for only the second time in school history. Daniel competes with a quiet intensity, and I suspect there are many great years of golf ahead.
